Market Cap " amount of public dept borrowed " Line of credit from the bank the company is using. The lower the debt the less the company needs or the lower the debt the less they can a ford to leverage due too not having enough collateral.



Should the company want to drive a stock down to purchase and resell they will load debt on the date of filing were the pros will load up cause don.t forget they have now followed the market cap for sometime due noting the drop in borrowing.



They don't want Joe public to know this so they came out with saying that the market cap is the price of a share times outstanding shares that they loaded up for the financials but in fact the market cap is there daily for traders to take note of.



Why is cash needed when there is so much available on there books and what reflection does the price of a share has to do with the cost of the debt. Again you have to consider the audience but if you can change there view and that is not easy you can move the audience in a different direction having look at the numbers differently.


We as a group have taken share holders and even if the financials are a total disaster and have moved a company were they become flush with cash and there shares have tripled in price over night were they had zero debt and collateral. That is the beauty of the North American Market.
