Rivetz Named as Top Three Global Startups at CoinAgenda
Why is this relevant to Wave? Because Wave has an agreement with Rivetz whereby any of Wave's intellectual property that is applied to revenue generating projects will trigger a percentage kick back to Wave. Simply put, it's called revenue sharing.

Great work, Mr. Sprague!

BitAngels Names Three Top Global Startups in its First Bitcoin Company Showcase at CoinAgenda

Indian Mobile Wallet Provider ZebPay, Blockchain Recordkeeping System Factom, and Bitcoin Hardware Security Provider Rivetz Prevailed in 20-Company Competition

Two of Three Winners Will Now Present at Coin Debut

Media Showcase at Money 20/20 on Sunday Night, November 2
(LAS VEGAS) – CoinAgenda (www.coinagenda.com), the first conference for Bitcoin and cryptocurrency investors, has announced the winners of its first global startup competition, held in affiliation with BitAngels (www.bitangels.co), the world’s leading bitcoin angel group. The competition took place in Las Vegas on October 8-9 during Bitcoin Week Las Vegas, and was judged by a panel of preeminent venture capitalists, including Matt Roszak, Tally Capital; William Quigley, Clearstone Ventures; and Stephen Waterhouse, Pantera Capital.

ZebPay, Ahmedabad, India, a pre-launch mobile bitcoin wallet, received the first place vote of the panelists, as well as best presentation. Factom (www.factom.org), Austin, TX, a “proof of existence” technology for tracking and auditing documents through the blockchain, received second place and best pre-launch company. Rivetz (www.rivetz.com), Mountain View, CA, a developer of hardware-based security products for bitcoin and other protocols, took third place.

“We were blown away by the quality of the companies who presented,” said Michael Terpin, founder of CoinAgenda and co-founder of BitAngels. “The VC panel was also quite impressed, calling it one of the best selections of early-stage bitcoin companies they’ve seen anywhere.”

CoinAgenda is an annual event, taking place in Las Vegas in October around Bitcoin Week Las Vegas, which also includes the Hashers United conference. BitAngels meets monthly for online presentations and has begun to expand into in-person demo days, typically around the time of major cryptocurrency shows and/or in locales with a large number of bitcoin startups.

Two of the three winners of the competition (Factom and Rivetz) will be showcasing their products for an invite-only gathering of media and investors during the upcoming Money 20/20™ conference called Coin Debut (www.coindebut.com), a spinoff of Startup Debut (www.startupdebut.com), which is the official media showcase of South by Southwest and also a large media showcase, including bitcoin startups, at the start of the Consumer Electronics Show® (CES) in January.

Coin Debut, which is produced by Transform Events, is open to media attending Money 20/20 and select top-tier investors. Other participants in the showcase include eSpend, Swarm and Ziftr, all of whom also participated in CoinAgenda.
