...The President disagreed and distinguished the case from the Motorola-case, in which Apple had been considered “willing” to conclude a license under FRAND-conditions. The President did not agree with ZTE that it could equally be considered a “willing licensee” stating that it could not be assumed for now that ZTE is in genuine pursuit of a license.


I was glad to read this opinion from a judge (even if it wasn't American). IMO, this certainly fits Nokia and ZTE and probably LG.

It's also ironic that Vringo, a spin off of Nokia, is winning this argument against a manufacturer who claims to be a willing licensee.

Are you paying attention MSFT/Nokia/LG, etc.
