Agreement. Just an off the cuff comment intended as what may approximate a SVR 4, since there was no further change in a month (for 3 of the 6 who RVR'ed).
For those folks, it *looks* like something sustained, but I can't arbitrarily confer an EOT.
So thank you for the correction.

Yes, RGLS did not use the term and I should not have, even as a for-want-of-a-better-more-precise-word/term.

IF those 3 remain undetected for some length of time, someone will call them clear/cured. (and I think I am remembering some who were detected, but below quant)

For me..... this reminded me a little of the 7977 (electron?) trial; in which they became clear, but most relapsed after TX

"The 10 null responders included in ELECTRON saw their HCV viral loads drop rapidly with a regimen of GS-7977 and ribavirin. All viral loads became undetectable by week four, which is termed a rapid virologic response (RVR) and is typically a strong predictor of curative treatment. These viral loads remained fully suppressed during therapy. However, all but one study volunteer experienced rapid rebounds in their HCV viral loads after finishing their 12-week treatment course."

Which begs the question, what would happen when one added another potent DAA?
Also, just how durable is the current viral clearance?

This type of TX may offer a longer/stronger suppressive force (suppressed, but not exactly cleared, like other 7977 participants) but it remains to be seen about the length of durability. It *may* have a different relapse period than DAAs.

Thanks again.
