if you had a non ACA plan extended for another year, as many of us have, you are now looking at huge premium increases switching to an ACA plan. In NC, last fall I had the option of staying with a non-ACA plan (Coventry) for $541/mo ($8,500 deductible) or switch to a BC/BS ACA plan for around $1,250/mo. ($8,000 deductible). BC/BS wouldn't offer the non ACA plan for 2014. I haven't seen the new rates for 2015 from either BC/BS or Coventry, but they won't be pretty.
