I haven't found anyone who will accept %'s as legal tender.

Damn, and here I thought I had an angle nobody was exploiting.

True, I did hijack your point a bit, but I felt that limiting one's thinking to just commission costs in evaluating how one was doing overall was a bit limiting.

I remember reading a book many, many years ago where the idea of costs was presented as passing your money from one pocket to another and back a number of times and each time throwing some of it in the gutter. If you weren't taking in more than you were throwing in the gutter you would go broke over time. Inflation, taxes, commissions and other costs are what you have to overcome to increase your holdings.

My apologies if my post was too distracting and divergent from your point, an important point on scale.
