You do have a point about the wanting. The Giants are in a zone.
But the most important thing they have is their manager. He put his people in the right place at the right time. (As in Madison, you ready to go, here's the ball)

They weren't so much better than any team they faced, being the fifth place team and all.
But their fans never doubted they would be in the world series after they qualified for post-season. (I should say after they beat Pittsburgh.)
