Yes, it is hearsay. Jay says it's true because when he called the Raytheon Director of Investor Relations and TOLD HIM that tmm was working with him, he was told oh yeah, they are best buddies. But actually what Jay said at the time was that he was told they couldn't discuss issues like that. So, hearsay is a very kind way to put it. When I talked to the same guy, he had NO IDEA who tmm/tmmi was.

As for it being in a tmm news release, well that isn't worth much. They have other PRs talking about owning technology that they have no rights to, so their word is totally worthless in my opinion.
