Based on the current treatments for Ebola which consists of maintaining hydration, it could just as well have been the fluid the Ebolacide was injected with that extended the life of the mice.

Is this some insinuation that the scientists at USAMRIID are somehow incompetent?

A variation on this arguement has made a trial run here before - and was viewed as laughably silly then by anybody with a science background. No trained scientist would make that "Freshman" kind of mistake. And even if some individual scientist did - the group that he/she worked with would never let data that poorly controlled see the light of day.
