Naw, I agree with all that you wrote, but do you not agree that there are investors and traders? The traders rotate through this stock; enter at some low point ride to top of cycle, sell, causing larger drops. Wash, rinse, repeat.
The herd is made up of all types. : )

I'm shaking my head this afternoon, not because of ENTA share price drop.
I'm used to it going up and down for no apparent reason. : )

I'm referring to GILD; down in after hours (A H low 1 hour after close is 107.14, so far after hitting $114.+ during the day)?!?!!!
Good lord. : )

And why?
(presumably in part) Cause Sovaldi sales slowed down. : 0
This after last weeks super positive Harvoni scripps report.
It's almost comical.
This is why I *try* to just stay in the shallow end of the pool and don't venture out into things I know nothing about; like almost anything, non-HCV.
I might be doing the same thing. : )

I do read and post in biotech values, but try to keep it to HCV. I nearly post a number of things (like on RGLS last week) but look down on my acumen and figure I shouldn't talk; just shut up and read. : ) Mostly following, spotting, tracking and gauging my impulses and timing.

This has been a very good forum for a variety of reasons, but most of all for the member knowledge depth and maturity; whatever the stock.

Last year I spent some time reading at a train wreck that was the yahoo IDIX board. : )
That was a mosh pit for a few months. (IDIX will *own* Gilead, IDIX will win the Gilead patent infringement suit, IDIX has the superior nuke, 200 Billion to IDIX would be a *just* settlement, etc.....)

The Yahoo GILD board was pretty decent, and it was on that board, or the Abbvie board I heard of iHub and ENTA. I started watching ENTA for a week or so while in the low mid 20's, and I was in by about $26, then in fairly deep % soon after. I had known about the Abbvie program, but had not thought/known about the Enanta possibilities.

Just under a year ago.
