Here's the deal. I have absolutely no doubt in my mind the December launch with both TRU and Diamond will go off as currently planned. With that said, I'm only stating this in regards to whether or not any major announcements will be made soon (at least in regards to TRU/Diamond specifics). I believe you cannot overlook the 10 day period I've spoken of. Yes, Benny will be printing 1M copies. Technically, where all those copies go may not be set in stone until 10 days prior to launch. Why? Remember, TRU can pull the plug up until that date. Yes, it would be very dirty of them, but technically, it could happen and the rest of the world would never hear about it. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure distribution numbers for TRU and Diamond are already established, or at least will be well in advance of that 10 day period. However, Benny would be foolish to announce any such certainties prior to that date, unless he is 100% sure TRU will not back out. For example, suppose he publicly announces the TRU deal tomorrow and that TRU will be distributing 600K and Diamond the remaining 400K. Then, in the coming month, for whatever reason, TRU gets cold feet and backs out. Huge mess... world finds out about losing TRU account, which lowers investor confidence in REDG. Yes, REDG would have Diamond to fall back on in distributing the remaining books, but quite a bit of wind would be taken out of REDG's sail, and the giant would be sporting a black eye.
This is all opinion, of course. If Benny's thoughts and plans are as I predict, I can't say I blame him. I would remain hush about the TRU/Diamond distribution details until that date, as well.
I'd love to hear some big confirmations just as much as anyone else would. But at the same time, I believe Benny is a lot more intelligent than some give him credit for during this current stretch. Watch, wait, and see... a week or two out from the launch and we're not gonna know what hit us.
