Peafunke, I wouldn't say doomed either way. All the money the Fed has been pumping in has been to prevent deflation. The only way to pull back that money is through inflation. The Fed believes they can control inflation over the long term and avoid any type of hyperinflation from occurring. Let's hope they know what they are doing.
