I think it is obvious that unless the current Ebola epidemic lasts a lot longer than most people expect that Ebolocide won't be ready for it. The benign explanation for the restart of the Ebola program is that Drs. Diwan and Seymour said, "Hey, here's a chance to get some funding and lab space for the second iteration of Ebolacide. Then we might actually have something useful the next time Ebola comes around."

The cynical explanation: "Flucide production is a disaster. Thank God for this diversion!"
