The Yahoo article has been incorrectly corrected.

The Yahoo article from Oct 20, which originally stated that MJNA had sold a total of $60M of CBD products year-to-date has been changed to describe the total CBD market as being $60M.

Unfortunately, the author, Shawna Ohm, did not note that the article has been edited, which is bad journalistic practice. (Hence the "incorrectly corrected" in the title of this post).

The old text, which I posted yesterday in this post, read as follows: [Emphasis Added]

HempMeds – which makes CBD infused products – says they sell about $1 million in products each month. HempMeds’ parent company, Medical Marijuana Inc. (MJNA), says that through all of its divisions, it’s sold some $60 million worth of CBD-only, THC-free products so far this year.

The new text in the revised article is this:

HempMeds – which makes CBD infused products – says they sell about $1 million in products each month. HempMeds’ parent company, Medical Marijuana Inc. (MJNA), estimates the size of the CBD-only, THC-free product market is $60 million so far in 2014.

This is a significant difference in meaning.

Added in Edit: The lack of a note about fact that the article has been changed is the fault of the author, not MJNA.

In addition, Perry Coleman should be commended for making sure the correction was made. He can't be blamed for an improper journalistic practice on a Yahoo blog.
