I don't know if there will be a big slowdown. As always, lots of moving parts. Ebola scare seems off the table. Weakness in Europe and China are matched against the talk that Europe will finally start to do some Quantitative Easing or similar to oil their system, and China may do something to prop of their economy.

Now we have the falling price of oil scaring everybody. On the one hand that should spur the economy...makes everything cheaper. Flip side is so much of the growth in the US economy has been due to the growth in the oil/shale/gas fields...and that would slow, and some large debted O&G companies would be in trouble.

So who the heck knows?

If the market falls hard tomorrow, I will look to buy, although I'm not sure if I'll buy energy.

To answer your question....I dont know. But couldnt be the worst thing to lighten up maybe 10%/day for up to five days, especially if the market is getting you very nervous....and you could always change your mind.
