There are a lot of stock based compensation issuances and stock swaps going on. Just curious if Shaun and his family are accounting for and declaring it correctly. Depends on how the contracts are written. From quick look on the descriptions in the filings, it appears the employee stock based compensation is income in the years they were issued not sold. I don't think Shaun or any of the family created a vesting period to take a Section 83 exemption (deferral).

Maybe someone can find their compensation agreements, see if there are performance based compensation with any sort of serious risk of forfeiture.

If not, he has to pay taxes on the income in the year it was earned and issued, not when the stock is sold.
