There is a precedence for the government taking a new technology and deploying it quickly in time of crisis. There was a skimmer that Kevin Costner had invented that the government tested when the oil leak in the gulf first occurred. Of course, it helps to be a celebrity. But contacting a congressman or going back to previous government contacts that saw the value might be effective. Plus with the Ebola turning into a crisis, there might be a heightened need to consider alternatives to chemical.
