Yes, that is good information. Thanks very much! I will probably go for the iOS upgrade once I've upgraded my MacBook Pro to Yosemite. These OS upgrades play he!! with my Hughesnet allowances!

I spoke with a Verizon rep the other day when I was ordering my iPhone 6+. Told her I would fire Hughesnet in a New York minute if they could place a cell tower close enough to give me a cell signal at my home. But I'm not holding my breath.

Just one of the trade-offs of living in the boonies!
