perhaps you or someone could point to the example of generals leading successful tech development companies.

for myself, i think it is similar to the idea of expecting an expert taxidermist to transfer into a role on the space station.

different organisations, cultures, philosophies etc create distinct skillsets.

i don't challenge patton's ability as a general. i know nothing about it. but i would be wary of having my toenails clipped by a hoof doctor.
