I pity the poor shlub (is this racist to use this language?) who only has a slow Net connection.

I hear you. I live in the boonies and satellite broadband is all I can get. Between the "fair access policy" (1GB per day) and the horrible up/download speeds, I will have to wait until the unlimited hours (12 midnight - 7 AM) to download OS X Yosemite which is over 5GB. Even at that, it will take several nights, given my speeds.
