I just read about a WiFi issue with Yosemite (I'm on an Apple news service) so I'm going to wait it out for a bit.

I played around with Mavericks last night on a 2008 MacBook Pro with a display with problems and hooked it up to an external display and it works great. Mission Control and Spaces have improved a great deal since Snow Leopard.

I came into the office and did the same setup except I hooked it up to the big monitor which used to be attached to my employer-supplied desktop. I suspect that I'm going to use the Windows Desktop far less now.

Yes, I have a new rMBP but I just hate retiring old equipment.
