Some notable takeaways from Carl Icahn 's recent interviews on CNBC and Bloomberg :
The high-yield market is in a bubble and is due for a fall.
He is worried about a major event.
S&P 500 index would be meaningfully lower without the actions of the Fed.
Companies like Apple Inc. (NASDAQ: AAPL) come around once a decade; A tremendously cheap stock. Apple should accelerate the buyback.
EBay Inc (NASDAQ: EBAY) should explore selling PayPal.
Warren Buffett is too easy on some companies.
Western Europe is really a problem.
Markets are in better shape than 2008, but still may break.
