Would that description be akin to managing people who have no reason for creative thinking at that point? Hmmmmmmmm.
Dictatorship is the lowest form of leadership. Always has been, always will be. When you cannot lead people by example and energy, beat them into submission.
I would like to pose a question.
WHY did DELL show WAVE the door and replace wave's product with one from a competitor which Dell obviously esteemed better than Wave's?
I mean, if wave's product was that good as we had been told for decades by a select bunch, why did Dell choose to get rid of wave?
WHy then did Dell turn around and replace wave with somone else in that same space? Yeah, Dell thought enough of that product to buy them and put their name on it! Funny thing that didn't happen for Wave.
Does give one pause to wonder though about all the hype that has always seemd to be heaped in great abundance upon this company despite the evidence.
Not to mention the non-existent PROFITS but very real LOSSES quarter over quarter, year over year, despite all the overly optimistic shouts about wave has the highest gross margin of any! What is left out after that is that it does not matter one bit. WHatis the NET PROFIT MARGIN, the one that matters????
The one that tells you whether you are making money or losing your shorts, again...
How many here claim to be business men or women????? Own your own companies?
Let me ask you all a question.
WHEN your accountants or CPA's finished the quarterly statements and then the annual one at whatever date your fiscal year ended, what was the only number on that statement that really mattered?
The one that determined whether or not your company would be paying taxes on profits???????
OH, let me help those with short memories. It is the NET PROFIT!!!
The neumber that shows whether you made a profit or not. Theother numbers are great for dicsussion but in the end, if you have enormous gross profit margins and negative net profit, someting is badly wrong in river city.....
Kindof makes me wonder about the claims of all those who have stated they somehow were business people.... The lack of basic financial analysis seems to be replaced with nothing more than any excuse to dismiss the black and white facts: WAVE and SOLMS are still bleeding, hemorraging, CASH and have not yet showed a real bonafide profit.
And then there is the hoopla about BREAK EVEN. If you are cheerleading for BREAK EVEN, I would love to have YOU for my competition. I am not interested in TREADING WATER, which is what Break Even is. A corporation is supposed to in theory be an enitity that grows year over year, not stand still or lose money year over year.
I do not know where many have studied their business education but it appears they needed to change schools with the type of comments that have been bandied around for so long.
And last, there is the new guy, good old General Patton, who TKC defended to the hilt and called all of those of us who also have served in our nation's military, unqualified and not knowing wherof we spoke about and that all General Officers are the very best the military has to offer.
May I remind TKC that at Gettysburg, it was a General Officer who screwed up badly on the second day of battle, left the entire end of his line exposed at the round tops, had his BACON saved by inferior in ranks officers and lastly, saved by a COLONEL from Massachuseetes who oredered a bayonette charge because his men had run out of ammunition fighting off the troops from General John Bell Hood who tried to take the roundtops, but could not. Where were the great generals at that Battle tkc? Same place as they were when I was in battle in Nam with mortars exploding all around us and AK-47's firing hundreds of thousands of rounds at us. They were safe and sound far away leading from behind as usual. Our LT and First sergeant didn;t make it out of there. But they led fearlessly and we held despite the numerical superiority of the enemy.
So please spare me the crapola about General Officers because I point out toyou MANY throughout history that were not worth a flying flip. And when itis DOCUMENTED you tried to cover up and stall investigations, and there is plenty of stories about it, that does not speak well of someone in authority...
Okay, I am done asking questions about BUSINESS 101 and discussing leadership by Generals or others. I will go back to hibernating and see if ANY of the so called BUSINESSMEN would care to correct their assessment of what a PROFIT really is.
It's what a company EXPENDS in expenses after the gross profit margin that determines what the NET PROFIT or LOSS is.
And after 17 years of watching quarter after quarter after all the BIG PROMISES of ITS COMING and JUNE IS OURS and we can hit break even on orders in hand, I have still yet to see ONE single solitary financial statement that shows a profit was made, but that the company was still bleeding red ink.
Anyone have any information that is different?
