Allow me to address your concerns in the single post I am now allowed:
Easyrider: Sorry, but that is not the case for Apple or Microsoft, or other software vendors.

1/ You do not "own" software, you are granted a "right to use" licence,

2/ Your rights to use are limited by the terms of the EULA or licence agreement. In Apple's case, you cannot run Apple software on non Apple branded hardware. End of story. There is NO wiggle room. I don't care what other members of this board think, the language of the Apple contract is clear.

My point is that Sphere execs have been claiming they can do this. It is an important point as Apple leads the market in enterprise for mobile development, and has the largest marketshare for tablets and smartphones among business users. And a huge share in education and healthcare also (Apple is #1 in healthcare)

Removing that lucrative and large market segment for the TAM (Total Accessible Market) of Sphere has significant and negative ramifications on the company value.

In the case of Microsoft, depending on the terms of your contract you may, or may not, have the right to virtualize desktop apps and O/S's to run on a server. Again, anyone that tells you otherwise is trying to sell you something (like ANY stock).

Again, Sphere management have been aware of these restrictions, at least for Apple, since before the Jan investor conference where their CEO made the claim re Apple.

Simple question: if Sphere execs know they cannot legally do this, why do they continue to promote that they can?

Struftpete1;

You suggested I raise these points only because I am shorting the stock (due to my little joke). Read that statement again.

I said I was an "early" investor and up $95,000. So, explain to me how an early investor with an active position of $95k can short the stock.

And I did raise the issues of Apple with Sphere management. They denied making the claim, however, their videos and investor conference presentations say otherwise. I guess they are not responsible for what they say to investors?

JB3729: your point that Microsoft Office is very popular is true. It is the #1 "desktop" app by far. But, it is nowhere as a mobile app. The dominant platform for mobile (smartphones and tablets) in enterprise, education and healthcare is Apple, at least in North America. Please read the above information about Apple licensing.

By the way, what about Corel? What happened to that $80-100 million you and your fellow enthusiasts were calling for a year ago. Why does Sphere now demo LibreOffice at major events, and not either Msft Office or Corel.

Very strange. You spend tens of thousand to attend a major trade show and demo LibreOffice?

Who is making these decisions? If this product has been in development for five years, and "production ready", why not lead with Microsoft Office, or the real time graphics of Novorad or something that resembles a business workload?

These are basic enterprise software marketing steps: demo what the customer uses. Again, Libreoffice on an X Box?????

A $1,000 to the first member of this board that can show a real operating enterprise business that uses LibreOffice and uses Xbox device for end user workstations.
