MD's are free to prescribe Vascepa for any indication ..its an FDA approved drug .
In many cases the Insurance Co ..Blue Cross ..Federal retirement plans as example don't question it..on or off label and provide coverage.

The opposite extreme is say Kaiser ...who will not cover for off label use . Rest of the Insurance co's in between these two

Doubt if you loose coverage if the only reason your TG's have dropped below 500 is because you are on Vascepa.
