I think the waste would be to buy it and let it sit idle. As long as they have it they may as well use it to generate revenue. Isn't that the idea behind AM? Lights out production right? Turn it on and walk away. I would have it running 24/7 at least up to the point that I could buy another one and have them run 48/14. Prioritize the jobs with a long term outlook, but don't let it collect dust.
