"When CTTC got it's CPT code..."???

Uhhhh, no, getting the CPT did NOT mean that the AMA recognized the thing as "different" from other TENS devices. The idea of the class III code is to facilitate data collection from trials. The AMA does NOT evaluate devices. CTTC could have called it "MISTER Marineo's Marvelous Miraculous Pain Cure" if they had wanted to and still got the code.

Idiotic CTTC got the code in order to IMPLY -- for press release purposes -- that its receipt for an would somehow be a step to getting reimbursement. However, all it ACTUALLY accomplished was getting the thing labelled "experimental device," which made getting reimbursement just that much more difficult!

While it was labelled a TENS device, at least there was SOME opportunity to get paid SOMETHING for using it! But since NO third party reimburser will pay for an "experimental device" without BOATLOADS of paperwork, CTTC has made it practically IMPOSSIBLE to get a DIME of reimbursement. And for that "service," CTTC paid out -- by my estimates -- over $250,000 to some fat little clown they hired as a "consultant." What a way to run -- or sould I say "ruin" -- a company!
