As far as buying at these prices, just like everyone here, I really dont know. I'm not one to give advice on investing (who is right?), I do not have any formal training or academic background in finance. Full disclosure - I studied Philosophy, Psychology, and Economics, and I work in the tech field. I am in a unique position now because I've already made-out on this stock. I bought a couple hundred thousand shares pre DLA mandate/announcement (over 2-3 years ago) when the stock was fairly stable at .06. I got lucky and sold off 3/4 of my position in the high .20's and reinvested that in real estate. This is the only penny stock I have ever messed with. I repurchased some shares a little over a year ago at .08, and that moved my average price up to .067.

I'm currently holding about 50K shares. So I don't have very much "skin in the game" right now. I'm not planning on buying any more at least until they get their things sorted with this RS. I guess I am for the RS, I think we need to be listed on a "real" exchange to be taken seriously by stable investors. If APDN wants to run with the big boys, and be a fundamental player in this emerging anti-counterfeiting industry, they'll have to get out of penny land. Growing pains aside, there is way too much manipulation of the stock price on these OTC exchanges. I've read of companies with great products/services, with ambitious, competent leadership that have been absolutely ruined by the manipulation they open themselves up to by listing on these OTC boards (links on bottom to a thread about that specifically).

I like that the DLA and DOD are invested here, that gives me some confidence that they wont let APDN go under, at least not without a fight lest they open themselves up to some ridicule by all the OCMs/distributors that have been outspoken about this technology. But I see the real growth (if this company does take off) in the other verticals such as textiles, pharma, and law enforcement.

I like all the posters on this board, I think the regulars are a fun group and I enjoy checking in and reading the conversation weekly (at least). I really don't mean to offend anyone, but I dont think anyone that posts here has a clue about what is going to happen with this company (myself included). We all have different tolerances to risk. Some posters are more confident than others, and some posters sound like the have alternate intentions. Obviously time will tell. Good luck to you and everyone here, especially sharky,apdn1mill,shail,and all the other regulars that always contribute to the conversation, as speculative as it is. I'm sticking around at least through the rest of 2014.

Stories you need to read:

How a completely legitimate company can get smacked down to zero. The moral of the story is that no matter how much research you think have may have done, it will make no difference. If one big shareholder decides to dump, the whole ship is going down.
