I got an interesting and long email from the Orexo CEO Nikolaj Sørensen today.


Bunavail will be launch in November according to BDSI.
Its potential of competing with Orexos Zubsolv he says depends on what kind of deals BDSI will reach with insurance companies and what the doctors prefer. Up to date they dont have any known deals with insurance companies that he knew.

Mr Sørensen explained Bunavail as a patch that you apply towards the cheek intraorally. It takes 15 min to dissolve!!!

He said that having it in a patch gives it the advantage:

-Less buprenorfin to achieve the same effect in comparision to Suboxone and partially Zubsolv. Disadvantage for BDSI/Bunavail is that they have to explain that 4,1mg is equal Suboxone 5,7mg.


He also said that he believes that Reckitt Benckiser will make a deal with Par/Intelgenx on the generica.
