When Patrick was with Agora, he was not allowed to invest in the companies he covered. I would not be surprised to learn that was one of the reasons he left Agora. Like you, I prefer to get advice from someone who "eats his own cookin".

As to the company he stopped covering so he could "become more closely affiliated", I am pretty sure that was ISCO, not NNVC.

In all my following of Pat Cox, he does not get paid by or associate with (other than to do research) the companies he recommends. One company, Nanoviricides (NNVC) was one company he had been following and then disclosed that he was going to become more closely affiliated with the company and so would no longer cover the company. His recommendations may or may not be any good, but his views are not slanted by any payments to him from the company or anyone wanting the company to be promoted. He might invest in the companies, that I don't know. However I kind of like someone who "eats his own cookin" so to speak. - IRAHopeful
