I was having a hard time not being sarcastic - wanted to say: "This just in, the CEO is telling people things like 'i want the stock to go up!' and 'at this time we have no plans to X'...."
Of course he wants you to invest.
And when they say things like "at this time we have no plans" it should be understood that "maybe tomorrow, we will have plans, but we're not going to tell you until after it happens."
If forced, I could dig out people posting how they were talking to the then CEO ~2 years ago, and had all sorts of good things coming around the corner.
They're directly financially incentivized for you to buy shares. Plus, they have to be positive about their companies direction (that's their job). What else could they say?
