To answer that it's simple. 40,000 thousand gallons at the minimum margin in South Africa is .30 that = $15,000 for one stage of a flight, that's only one take off and he is under estimating the cost of ground handling and permits, between permitting, ground handling, cleaning of aircraft, parking, GPU service (generator on the ground), Lavatory service, water service, baggage service, taxes and all other fees it gets close to $30,000 for one landing and the average service charge is 15% that equal another $4,500 for the handling agent so for one flight you have $19,500 keep in mind that the plane, as soon as it gets all the services and gets refueled it turns around and goes back full of passengers so that's close to $40,000 per day for one flight. Imagine having more flights or customers. Let's go back, $40,000 x 4 flights a week = $160,000 a week, times that by just seven weeks that's $1,120,000 so tell that guy, that's how you make millions on one contract. Times that by 52 weeks that's $8,320,000 per year on just one contract and one flight. I will send Dave an invoice of the charges for ground handling for all to see the cost of ground handling to see if we can post it.
