Quite possibly true. I did ask that he speak to the clinical sites. And in my note I only made reference to two hospitals because they shared the same lead investigator, Dr. Michael Gruber. Steven Pearlstein's comment only mentioned NYU. But, my last check on the clinical site Overlook was still recruiting. Someone checked for me again yesterday and said Overlook is now only active too. Which makes me wonder if it's an isolated issue, or whomever told him that just didn't want to divulge on recruiting/enrollment.

I tend to question all angles. The first being to take his comment at face value and find out what hospitals are getting paid, and how that's possibly affecting enrollment. A commentator on older SA article wrote in the past that hospitals join clinical studies because they're paid to. Sad, that possibly yet another thing is only all about money too, and that NYU would withdraw life-extending care over its dispute. But then again, I'm not shocked either.

And, then two, explore other angles. Could the comment just be a distraction to end whatever he might have been probing in the first place? Anyway, one of which led me to my recruiting/enrollment question..
