The purpose of the stock dividend was to get everyone at the agm so giddy that they would ask no questions about the stock options management awarded themselves a few minutes later.

I've often thought the same. There is really NO other excuse for it other than a complete "misdirection" play. And they got applause... Can you imagine the talk behind closed doors that night?

But really, no big deal... after all, what's another hundred or two million of dilution amongst us good buddies?

(...yes, of course I realize the dilutive effect of the stock dividend was offset by the shares themselves, but the share count float increased in any case..)
