mmoy: " It's a nice phone but it mainly feels like my 5 with a bigger display."

I've had a 5S for one year now and will likely replace it next summer, when the 2-year-contract is up. I generally don't mess with trade-ins, sales of old phones, cancellation fees, even carrier changes. The 2-year cycle has worked fine.

I looked at a 6 Plus for a couple of minutes. I liked the very large screen, but it felt a bit thin. While I don't carry my phones in a pocket (*), the "bending" (aka Bendgate) issue is mildly bothersome. Like the reviewer at one of the sites said, a slightly thicker and more rigid frame would be good, especially if the battery was proportionately thicker. Would better protect the protruding camera as well.

(* As I said, I use a lanyard. The silicone Lanskin works well on my 5S and is likely what I'll use in the future.)

So, perhaps we'll see a more-ruggedized version of the 6 Plus. Now that Apple has shown a willingness to deviate from its "one size fits all" stance, seen first a year ago and now with the new Sixes, perhaps they'll proliferate the line the way Samsung and HTC did with theirs. Maybe a year from now, maybe even sooner.
