There may be some positive events between now and 2018 but weighing over that is the fact that there is certain to be another round of share dilution before phase 2 begins. So who wants to be the sucker who buys at $6 when the next day there is an announcement of another big issuance of shares plus low-strike-price warrants that drives the price back to $4?

From the 10-K:

While our cash and cash equivalent balance is sufficient for us to continue our operations through June 30, 2016, it is insufficient to fully execute the Company’s business plan.

So... merely maintaining company operations, but not fully executing the company's business plans, uses up the available money by the middle of 2016. That means that more shares must be issued well before then to top off the kitty. We can expect share dilution at the start of 2016 at the latest, and quite likely sometime in 2015. So this will most likely happen before phase 1 is completed, and maybe before it starts. The share dilution is likely to be done at a price not a whole lot better than we see today.

I don't expect positive results in the Ebolacide2 testing to have more than a modest effect on the stock price. After all, that just means that Ebolacide2 joins the long list of 'cides that work in mice or rabbits but have never been put through the tox testing and clinical trials needed to make them into products.
