As a recent example of OTC "current" status
BKEN had not filed anything for many months. I contacted OTC, who claimed they had till 30-Aug to file their annual in order to remain current.
After 30-Aug I notified OTC there was still no report. The reply came back, if not out by Tuesday, it would be queued up for a status change.
Presto on Tuesday it came out with a "Stop Sign", and an OTC warning any insider trading(dumping) might be considered as trading based on insider info.
Guess it scared the Chinese Masters over in China. Within a few days in came the Annual. "Stop sign" disappeared, and reduced to a "Yield Sign". Insiders could resume dumping with a peace of mind.
A lawyer's opinion letter appeared on 15-Sep, or almost 2 weeks later. The usual about how the company had met OTC reporting standards.
Today the stock returned to happy pink status as current. A couple of herd members making sure the forum knew about it.
Next up is a mid-October P&D. Rumored paid promo.
