I am well aware of efficient market theory and that is my point. The market is effiecent, it prices in all known information and creates expectations.

Give that the expectations are from an incredibly large sample size of market participants, that chances of a surprise here are slim...this is the point.

If there was a strong potential for an upside surprise the market would expect it, its not 4 people, its millions of traders.

Again, the market doesn't just include people who 'simply look' at adt/tyco and that settlement, it includes people who 'get it', who know what those patents apply to, etc.

There are also many people who trade in advance of information and we all know that, trading on inside info is rampant, things always leak.

PPS hasn't moved, I will accept that the market is right here and it won't be material.
