thefamilyman: I noticed the same thing from the presentation regarding 9 out of 20 patients enrolled for cohort 3. I am just thinking outloud here. I believe from the company website, that there are 7-8 physicians involved in the study. So basically each physician would need to enroll about one patient (from whenever Dr. Traber stated 9 patients enrolled) into the study to meet enrollment goals. From the slides, (from what I remember) I believe that the dosing and testing takes <50 days so later in November is probably the target release date. My opinion is that for patients with stage 3 or 4 liver fibrosis/cirrhosis, it is an extremely important chance for life for them to be included within this study. There are no other approved treatment options for these patients/people other than liver transplantation (which does not usually go well). Stage 3/4 liver disease is really quite a serious disease for life expectancy. If people read the preclinical peer-reviewed studies which literally demonstrate the reversal of these horrible liver diseases in rats/mice then people will be lining up to take part in the study. Phase II of this study (next year) will likely give liver patients (otherwise in a terminal condition) a real chance to add 20 to 30 years to their lives. These are real people with lives on the line. The 3rd cohort for November release is only really about safety and will be the final step required for the company to get into phase II trials. While people day trade the stock and worry about TA and making a few pennies per share on every trade, the company is working to save millions of lives in my humble opinion.
