I don't trade options but that doesn't mean that I am against them. It could be a good way to make money if you don't have a lot of capital to start with. But the problem with them is that they expire so that if you aren't in the money you lose whatever your initial investment is. I would suggest that you stay away from any with near term expiration dates. Selling covered calls is also a really good thing, but this isn't what you are looking into.
