It certainly appears that the issue of technological solutions to quality monitoring and control is heating up. It is unreasonable to simply assume that because we have not heard before that these competitors are making progress with their independent efforts that they have not been making efforts, nor that they have been making progress. There are lots of smart, dedicated and hard working folks out there who see an opportunity and are working to capitalize on it. There is not enough information out there (that I am aware of) to know how far along these other efforts are in pursuit of the goal, which as we have seen with the delays Sigma has encountered, is not an easy, simple or rapid thing. That said, I do believe that Sigma has a product ready for prime time, as evidenced by the GE - Honeywell beta testing and statements made by MC regarding "lock step" and "very near future." How ready these alternatives are and how willing GE might be to change horses mid-stream are further uncertainties in the mix. It would certainly help Sigma significantly IF Sigma and GE could announce that some of the PrintRite systems that GE has been using for beta testing on currently existing AM printers at GE are going to be re-categorized as PrintRite being used for production with a GE-Sigma contract that produces revenues for Sigma, rather than waiting for the new AM machines to be delivered to Auburn or Greenville.

Also, Concept Laser is going to make an announcement "in late November" which allows for the opportunity for the Sigma Labs roadshow to line up a contract or two BEFORE the announcement. First mover power can not be over-estimated in this area.
