Can't sue their butts off. Can only sue for losses incurred. In other words the up front money plus court and lawyer fees. And that is only if he wins. Could top out at about one hundred thousand dollars. Again only if he wins. Most likely will be dismissed and if not they can sell shares to cover. Don't think he was lied to, he misunderstood what a franchise meant. Thought he gets a turn key business. Most likely didn't realize he had to get the customers and tried to back out but was given no refund.Not a big thing as this goes on all the time in the corporate world.
