Bio

Jacques Houle graduated from the University of Toronto in 1978 with B.A.Sc. in Geological Engineering –Mineral Exploration Option. He worked for small to mid-sized companies as a student, mine geologist, exploration geologist and exploration manager primarily in Ontario and British Columbia from 1975 to 1999. From 2000 to 2002 Jacques was the Regional Geologist for Southwest B.C. with the Ministry of Energy and Mines. Since 2003 he has worked as an independent consulting geologist for junior mining companies on exploration projects located primarily on Vancouver Island. Jacques is a member of APEGBC, AMEBC, SEG, TAC Committee for Geoscience BC, the advisory committee for the Earth Science Dept. at VIU, is the founder and president of the VIX Group, and resides in Nanaimo, B.C.
