Companies take money from toxic funders for many reasons. Some actually use it to fund operations. But that usually means they're desperate to make payroll or pay other necessary expenses. Others use it to pay management nice salaries and the like…

Either way, though, the FINRA action is bad news for Asher and Kramer.
