BK: Not really. What you said was:

The concern is that vaccines or treatment might be ineffective following mutation as vaccines tend to be very type dependent.

If this is true then your claim that Ebolacide treated primates antibodies will be effective against all mutations is false. Can't have it both ways.

They are also more susceptible to inefficacy due to mutation because 1) if they are made from either attenuated or dead virus, it only approximates the attributes of the virulent form.

Virtually all vaccines are made from attenuated or dead virus. This has ZERO impact on their effectiveness.

2) If the vaccine is nucleic acid or a toxoid based it again only approximates the live virus. However, if the live virus causes the immune response, the antibodies produced can be broader spectrum.

That sounds completely made up. Attenuated and dead virus vaccines are developed to intentionally trigger antibody production. If the virus is lethal, then it can not be used, even when significantly attenuated. But they both are effective at triggering the antibody response/production.

Are you now claiming that 'cides are better because you get infected with the virus, but it kills it, and then you have stronger and more effective antibodies than if you had been given an effective vaccine and never actually gotten sick?

And spare me the talk of people being scared of vaccines. Does anyone think if Ebola is a global catastrophe and someone has an effective VACCINE, people will NOT to take it?

ANd wait…primates? That's what NNVC is now claiming is the next step? Treating primates in the wild?

I'm all for saving the gorillas, I truly am, but this is just ludicrous to believe that is how this treatment will gain approval.

If that is going to happen, I'll be a primate's (they aren't monkeys) uncle.
