Have a look at the popularity figures on the right of those benchmarks from Futuremark. Not so good a message there.

Futuremark is #2 in mobile GPU benchmarking. GfxBench is #1, but only because it was first, and had about 2 years to garner support before FutureMark entered the scene.

Both are great benchmarks, though I'd argue 3DMark has a much better looking scene, and more matches where game developers are moving towards. They will also be the first to support a mobile DX11-class benchmark (using OpenGL-ES 3.0). So we'll see how popularity fares when the visuals take a step function upward.
