DNA ENERGY NO LONGER AVAILABLE IN DALLAS/FORT WORTH METROPLEX

Since I wrote my post about DNA Energy in all 114 Quik Trip stores in the D/FW Metroplex (http://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/read_msg.aspx?message_id=105043539) back on 8/6/2014, I have been monitoring activity and learning what I could by talking to QT store personnel.

It will take me some time to put together all of the information that I have collected in the last 6 weeks, so I wanted to provide an emergency heads-up to everyone ASAP.

Kimball Distributing, which had been stocking DNA Energy drinks in all of the QT stores no longer is distributing DNA.

They in the process of replacing DNA in all QT stores with a different product from a different company. I just visually confirmed that DNA has already been pulled from at least 2 QT stores.

QT is in the middle of a substantial remodel of their stores where they are going to start providing hot food made in their in-store kitchens. Therefore, things have been shuffled around a bit so that I even had a hard time finding a bottle of Dr. Pepper to purchase. So, I hoped that I was wrong about what had occurred, but to confirm, I asked the store personnel if they had any DNA in the back somewhere because I could not find any in the coolers.

One of the guys working there walked over to the energy drink coolers and suggested that they were reorganizing and he actually thought they were going to place DNA in a more prominent location in the center of one of the coolers. He stated that he also drinks DNA on occasion and he was surprised when he did not find it in the cooler. He went into the back for me to look to see if there was any in the back. Then, he came out, pointed at a new energy drink product now occupying the 5 slots where the DNA has been vended. He said that DNA had been phased out permanently, and that he remembers seeing an e-mail message about a month ago stating that was going to happen, but he had not thought it was going to happen so soon.

He also suggested that I could try some other stores in the area that may still be carrying product if I still wanted some. From a previous conversation I had with a QT store manager, I know that Kimball was refilling stores with DNA every 2 weeks. Therefore, you can bet that any QT stores that still have DNA will no longer have it within 2 weeks from now (and probably more like 1 week).

When I got home, I checked the Kimball Distributing web site, and as you can see from the URL link above, DNA is no longer listed as product that Kimball distributes.

As I stated, I'll fill in additional details later about my DNA purchases and conversations with QT store personnel over the last 6 weeks, but this post really contains what you need to know now.
