I was told by a market maker in another stock one time a while back that he traded a 10 million share long position six or seven times a day for his own account creating a minimum of 70 million in volume selling, selling short, covering, and going long. Then a 1 million share trade can be reported on the buy and sell side creating a 2 million share volume for the ticker. Could some of this be going on here
