(MW) Alibaba more valuable than Amazon, eBay combined, and 22 of 30 Dow stocks

Sep 19, 2014 12:25:00 (ET)

The big rally in Alibaba's stock (BABA) post-IPO has bumped up the Chinese Internet retailer's market capitalization to $216.92 billion. That makes Alibaba more valuable than Amazon (AMZN) and eBay (EBAY) combined, which have market caps of $151.35 billion and $65.33 billion, respectively.

It also means the market values Alibaba more than 22 of the Dow industrials' 30 components, including tech giants Intel (INTC) , at $173.31 billion, and Cisco Systems (CSCO) , at $127.87 billion. Visa (V) , which held the title of the largest U.S. IPO until Alibaba's, has a market-cap of $106.92 billion.
