False. A MM does not need SEC approval to sponsor a 211. There is no such approval process. Neither does a company need SEC approval to tweet they are working with a KMAGinary MM. Not unusual at all for a grey coming off suspension to claim in a PR (much less a tweet) they have found a MM - which never happens. It just took KMAG 2 yrs later to make the same claim.
Except there is no verifiable evidence a MM sponsor actually exists. The 211 tweet will go down in flames, when the FINRA 211 public database comes up next year. Until then, enjoy the bogus tweet.
Verifiable evidence of no investigation would be a PR released by Reid: KMAG received a Termination Notice on dd-mm-yyyy, closing the SEC investigation which led to the prior suspension. There is no such PR. Reid is rightly terrified and afraid to ever release such a PR.
